Musk has made bold claims, stating that the Cybertruck will have the ability to briefly function as a boat and feature rear-wheel steering. Business Insider reports that the truck's exoskeleton-based body defies traditional truck manufacturing norms, showcasing Tesla's unconventional approach to design.

Is Cybertruck Similar to Hummer?

Determining the final set of features for the Cybertruck remains speculative at this point. Ivan Drury, an automotive analyst for Edmunds, aptly described the truck as a vehicle that competes against everyone while being distinct from any existing offering.

The Cybertruck's unique appearance could attract both enthusiasts and affluent luxury buyers, drawing parallels to the popularity of the Hummer, another large and unconventional vehicle.

How Much is Tesla Cybertruck?

In May, Elon Musk confirmed that Tesla plans to make the Cybertruck available to customers later in 2023. However, the exact pricing of the Cybertruck remains uncertain.

Initially, Tesla quoted a price of $40,000 in 2019, but Musk has since indicated that the price may change. Tesla's current price range starts around $40,000 for the base variant of the Model 3 and goes up to $108,490 for the high-performance Plaid variant of the Model X.

The upcoming Tesla Roadster is expected to be the most expensive model, with a base price estimated at around $200,000.

Quickest EV Charging Among All Electric Vehicles

With a refundable deposit of $100, Tesla has received an overwhelming response for the Cybertruck. According to the crowdsourced reservation tracker from Electek, over 1.8 million Cybertrucks have been pre-ordered.

Tesla has also mentioned that the Cybertruck will utilize its new Mega Charger V4 technology, potentially enabling it to become the fastest-charging electric vehicle (EV) on the market. The exact charging times will depend on the battery size, but Tesla aims for quick, convenient charging sessions.

Meanwhile, an XRP fan claims that he will buy a Cybertruck once Tesla accepts crypto payment. The Twitter user @XRPcryptowolf claims that it will happen if the automaker allows him to pay in XRP.
