Calm, a meditation and sleep app with over 4 million users globally, is partnering with Spotify, the popular music streaming company.

This partnership aims to provide users with transformative content from Calm to support their mental well-being.

With Spotify's vast reach and Calm's unique offerings, individuals can now conveniently access relaxation, stress reduction, and improved sleep through this special partnership.

Accessing Calm's Content on Spotify

Thanks to Spotify Open Access (SOA), an initiative introduced in 2021, the collaboration between Calm and Spotify has become a reality.

As Engadget reports, SOA allows companies to offer paid content on Spotify, catering to different subscriber tiers. By leveraging this technology, Calm's extensive range of content is now accessible directly on Spotify's platform, ensuring a seamless user experience.

Users will need a Premium subscription to Calm to access Calm's complete content library on Spotify.

However, even without a Premium subscription, Spotify users can still enjoy a limited selection of Calm's stories and music. This inclusive approach ensures that individuals can explore Calm's offerings and determine the benefits before committing to a full subscription.

Expanding Reach

The collaboration between Calm and Spotify brings substantial advantages to both parties.

Calm's content gains access to Spotify's extensive user base of approximately 515 million monthly active users, significantly amplifying its reach and impact.

This partnership allows Calm to deliver transformative mental health support to a broader audience, contributing to the overall well-being of Spotify users.

Customized Content

Calm caters to diverse user needs by offering a range of content options.

The content includes popular sleep stories, meditations, mindfulness exercises, and more, all designed to facilitate better sleep, reduce stress and anxiety, and foster mindful habits.

Sleep Stories narrated by celebrities, including Harry Styles and Cillian Murphy, are also available through Calm for Sleep for those seeking restful nights.

Additionally, Calm for Stress & Anxiety provides targeted resources to help individuals unwind during challenging moments.

Calm for Beginners offers popular introductory meditations in convenient five-minute options, making mindfulness accessible to everyone.

Furthermore, Calm for Kids on Spotify presents tailored meditations for younger audiences, featuring narrations by renowned figures like Jennifer Garner and Wanda Sykes.

Calm's Success in the Meditation App Market

With over 100 million downloads and over four million paying subscribers as of October 2022, Calm has established itself as a leading meditation app.

However, in a competitive landscape with rivals like Headspace and InsightTimer, collaborations like the one with Spotify further, strengthen Calm's position and expand its reach among users.

Subscription Details and Pricing

While Spotify users can access some of Calm's content for free, full access to the extensive library may require initiating a Calm free trial or purchasing a subscription

New users can enjoy a seven-day free trial, allowing them to experience the breadth of Calm's offerings before committing. For continued access, Calm offers a Premium membership priced at $69.99 annually or $14.99 monthly.
