Electronic Arts bring good news from their latest earnings report, as it talked about the soon arrival of the famous sequel game, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, to last-gen consoles the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. While on launch it only arrived for modern platforms including the PC, it was once thought to be exclusive to these devices only.

The year 2023 has been good for those who are much invested in gaming, with multiple titles arriving on different platforms that expand more of the experience, especially for Star Wars fans.

GameSpot reported that during the latest earnings report of Electronic Arts, it confirmed a massive development for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, particularly with its availability on the Xbox One and the PS4. Given that the game improved on graphics, play style, and other factors, it would only be fit for modern gaming consoles which significantly upgraded compared to the last-gen.

However, that is not the case for EA, particularly as it wants more gamers to enjoy the experience of traversing the universe as Cal Kestis, the hero's story.

It was also perceived by the general public that its initial exclusive launch to the latest generation consoles would be its only release, considering that more developers are leaving behind the old ones.

EA, Respawn Needs Some Time Before Jedi Survivor Arrives

That being said, Comic Book Gaming noted that as per EA's confirmation, the game is still in its early stages of development and would need to take some time before it can release the Xbox One and PS4 versions.

It remains unknown when EA and Respawn would release Jedi Survivor to the last-gen consoles. Still, it is understandable as its development focused on the latest technology present, as they improved on almost every aspect of the game.

The Star Wars Jedi: Survivor's Success in the Market

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is a befitting sequel to what EA and Respawn Entertainment introduced to the world back when COVID was not a thing (2019) when the Fallen Order first came out. It stayed true to its roots and expanded more of the experience of Cal Kestis, putting gamers in his shoes and struggles as a hunted Jedi that is still learning the ways of the Force.

Apart from being a complex game experience, its in-depth story, and overall complete development, the game makers still made the game enjoyable for different kinds of gamers. It included the "Padawan" difficulty level that will help those who are still mastering the Force in their gameplay, making it more enjoyable for those finding the game challenging.

The gaming world warmly received Star Wars Jedi: Survivor not only because of its ultra-successful predecessor but also because of what it has to add to the said franchise. Now, gamers of the past generation or those who found no time or budget to upgrade to the latest consoles may get this experience soon thanks to EA.
