Apple computers coming out this October will have the company's next-generation chip. An analyst revealed that Apple is releasing its M3 later this year.

The company is currently testing its M3, and it will soon be available to the public based on its release timeline, like its previous Mac releases.

Apart from this upcoming Mac device, six other devices are found on the latest obtained data regarding Apple computers, all sporting the next-gen Silicon processor.

Apple M3 Mac Is Coming This October, Analyst Says

According to Mark Gurman of Bloomberg's Power On Newsletter, a new Apple Mac is coming this year, and it will center on the M3 Silicon chip to power the device.

Also under this new report is the latest information on Apple's future Mac releases, with the company already set for the M3 Mac mini coming this Fall.

The analyst noted that this latest update on the M3 came from sources familiar with its development, and it would feature an 8-core CPU alongside a 10-GPU and 24GB of RAM upon launch. Its 8-core CPU comprises four efficiency cores and four high-performance cores.

If the specs seem familiar, this is because it is the same as the M2's latest release, but instead of the 4nm chip, it will be in a smaller, 3nm device known as the M3.

Next Release Under Testing, Six Devices Coming Soon

Additionally, this device is already being tested, with the company expanding its latest program toward the development of the M3 Mac Mini. 9to5 Mac reported that, as per Gurman's report, other Macs are coming, with a total of six devices overall.

It includes the: M3 13-inch MacBook Air (codenamed Mac 15,1 and J513/J613); M3 15-inch MacBook Air (codenamed Mac 15,2 and J515/J615); M3 13-inch MacBook Pro (codenamed Mac 15,3 and J504); M3 iMac (codenamed Mac 15,4, Mac 15,5, J433 and J434), M3 Pro and M3 Max 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros (codenamed Mac 15,7, Mac 15,8, J514 and J516); and the M3 Mac mini (codenamed Mac 15,12).

Apple's Mac and M-Series Chips

Mark Gurman claimed before that a new M3 Mac is coming this October, and he is now reaffirming his previous statement with more information and details. In his previous report, the analyst only confirmed the chip's upcoming release but not the devices that come with it.

Gurman also said before that these devices would arrive separately or only a handful would be released simultaneously, unlike before when they dropped these machines at the same time.

This new M-series chip will still come from Apple's long-time supplier and manufacturer, the Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC).

In this new 3nm process, the chip is smaller and more compact, but it does not mean it is less powerful than its previous releases.

Gurman affirmed that the next Mac's release will bring the next-gen chip this October. It will arrive with the Mac mini, the first Apple computer to get the new 3nm chip, featuring the same specs as the M2, with the other devices being released in the coming months.
