It's hard to think of what you could do with very little RAM or storage on your phone. However, it's a practical choice for companies making entry-level smartphones usually intended for average buyers. Like what HTC did, the company launched its new Wildfire E Star model with basic specifications.

HTC Wildfire E Star With Basic Specs Launched

According to GSM Arena, HTC recently announced a simple entry-level device, the Wildfire E Star. It was described as an entry-level device due to its simple specs.

While some people may not see the usefulness of this device due to its limited RAM and storage, it can come with some practical uses. One of these would be for children whose parents can give access to minimal content due to the lack of memory and RAM.

A place where the smartphone could also be useful is in the workplace. Since the device is very entry-level in specs, it could be an affordable company phone or other work-related device.

This Smartphone Could be a Way for Users to Lessen Their Screentime Without Fully Detaching

Aside from that, due to how basic it is, this would automatically restrict users from being tempted to download apps that would otherwise take too much of their time. However, there are still other uses for such basic devices.

Users who want to restrict themselves and control their social media usage can also benefit from the limited specs of the new HTC model. Users will be limited in their interactions on social platforms because it has enough power for you to search but not enough to fully engage with social media.

While some may consider it a bad thing, it can also be very beneficial, especially for those who want to lessen their screen time. It can also be helpful for those who have become screen addicts and want to detox from too much internet.

Regarding its chipset, the device is armed with the Unisoc SC9832E and comes with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB storage. However, it's important to note that the storage is still expandable via a memory card should users want a bigger space.
