A new game with a different kind of spy, action, thriller, and drama experience is joining the gaming industry, as IO Interactive is set to release "Project 007," which will feature the "first" James Bond.
Developer IO Interactive is famous for its Hitman franchise. "Project 007" will reportedly bring a notable storyline that will result in an overall great gaming experience.
With the Hitman franchise already a famous name in the gaming industry, this would establish an expectation from the public regarding this different type of Bond game.
'Project 007' Is Coming From IO Interactive
According to Game Reactor, "Project 007" would be different from what people expect of the famed British spy that has been around for decades in the movie industry. That is because the game maker and developer is featuring the "first Bond" ever in the game.
However, this somehow contradicts author Ian Fleming's writings, as all Bonds in the stories are the same people, only depicted by different actors throughout the years because some were dropped from the film project or could not fulfill the role.
With that said, IO Interactive promises the game will be a different experience from the films, as it would center on an entirely different look for the MI6 agent. Moreover, it will have a new story for gamers, but the developer has yet to reveal it.

'Hitman' Was a Hit, but Will 'Project 007' Be Like It?
IO Interactive's "Hitman" has been a massive success in its trilogy, with the game still gaining immense popularity. However, the question remains if IO Interactive will be able to continue it in its other games, especially this one that takes on a different story of this debonair spy, James Bond.
IO Interactive's Games
IO Interactive was previously a part of Square Enix, but it was sold off last 2017 when the parent company dumped the game developer.
However, it was not an entirely bitter end for IO Interactive as it has decided to go indie and moved away from mainstream games development, with the Hitman franchise retained by the company.
The latest game from IO Interactive was only released last 2021, and it gave gamers a chance to experience what was speculated to be the end of Agent 47's journey, with its story ending in a trilogy.
The game was meant for an expansive modern gaming experience, centering on the PlayStation 5, PC, Xbox Series S and X, and more. All of these successful takes on the stealth video game that was proven throughout the years by IO Interactive are now coming to a new movie adaptation, 007.
This new 007 game would center on its titular protagonist, James Bond of MI6, but would not feature the same story and likeness as the previous versions of Bond. It will reportedly have the Bond character and how he becomes the secret agent that he is.
