Google Chrome is reportedly adding the Bing AI chatbot from Microsoft allowing users to get access to the chatbot without needing to use the Edge browser or the Bing mobile app. This comes months after Google was trying to come up with a chatbot to compete with OpenAI's ChatGPT.

Microsoft is Adding Access to Its Bing Chat on Google Chrome

Microsoft was an early believer of OpenAI and has already sunk a massive amount of money into the company. During the success of ChatGPT, Google tried to announce its own tool, Bard AI, which saw backlash after its advertising content showed wrong information given as answers as seen on PC Mag.

While Google decided to shift its focus from chatbots to tools within Drive, as of press time, Microsoft will finally be integrating its Bing AI tool into Google Chrome. According to the story by ZD Net, Microsoft recently announced how individuals and enterprises will get access to the tool in Google Chrome.

Users Can Check out the AI on the Bing Website as Microsoft Expands to Non-Microsoft Browsers

As seen in the official announcement, Microsoft revealed how users would be able to use the feature by going to the Bing website and using the chatbot to generate content or get answers to certain queries.

In late July, it was revealed that Bing AI was starting to cater to users of non-Microsoft browsers as it started popping up on other browsers for select users. These included users of Windows' Google Chrome and the MacOS' Apple Safari.

Microsoft Announced that Bing and Bing Chat would be Available to All Modern Browsers

In early August, the company revealed that the AI was going to become available to more people with the help of third-party browsers. Microsoft promised that Bing and Bing Chat would become available to all modern browsers through its official website.

Aside from its use on Google Chrome, Microsoft announced different additions to the Bing Chat abilities. For example, the Bing Chat Enterprise offering will reportedly be accessible to users of the Bing mobile app.

Microsoft SwiftKey Keyboard Access to Bing Chat

It was also noted that users would be able to open and sign into the app and click on the Bing Chat button to get access to the tool's enterprise version. Aside from that, Microsoft SwiftKey keyboard users on different devices can also get Bing Chat access.

However, access to the Microsoft SwiftKey keyboards on iPads, iPhones, and Android devices would be limited to just 30 turns daily without needing a Microsoft account. Despite Microsoft's expansion of its Bing AI into different apps and browsers, the company is still trying to get people to use Edge.

To do this, the company is reportedly offering different advantages like longer conversations as well as access to the user's chat history. It was noted that the Chrome Bing AI would only restrict users to five messages in a single chat compared to Edge's limit of 30.
