Sony is reportedly working on a new feature that will allow players of its latest console to play some of the classical PlayStation games.

It comes as a popular YouTuber revealed that the company is currently working on an emulator that will enable players to try out games from an older PlayStation model.

Sony PS2 Classic Games Remain a Classic Since the Initial Release of the Console

According to Tech4Gamers, while many modern games are coming out this year, many gamers still want to continue playing the classic titles from the PS2, which is already over two decades old.

Because millions of gamers still want to play classic titles, emulation is a significant issue for different companies. So far, Sony's previous solution is to give players access to classic game emulations through the PS Plus Premium subscription.

It was reported that some older games can also be directly purchased on newer consoles, but this is still far from what emulation can achieve. While this solution has gained some criticism from many gamers, a recent claim suggests that the company is working on an actual PS2 emulator.

Years later, some gamers still seek to play these classic PS2 games. Aside from PC emulators or purchasing the emulated versions separately, most gamers don't have any proper solution to play the classic games.
