When most companies raise prices, they usually do so with an announcement as to when and why they're doing this. However, this seems to not be the case with Infinix as they suddenly raised the price of their GT 10 Pro model in India.

Infinix GT 10 Pro as Designed for Gaming and waws Launched in August 10 in India

According to the story by Gizmo China, Infinix previously launched the GT 10 Pro which was designed as a smartphone focused on gaming. The device was released sometime in early August in India and it initially came at a price of ₹20,000 or about $242 USD.

While the device launched with a flashy design at that price point, the price stayed the same upon its launch on August 10 but suddenly, Infinix decided to raise its prices. The company raised prices for the GT 10 Pro by ₹1,000 or about $12, bringing its total price to around $254.

The Device was Spotted at a Higher Price of $254 but was Said to be a Discount from a $302 Listing

Fans can check out the Infinix GT 10 Pro selling on Flipkart at the higher price of $254. However, the website suggests that this price is a discount, listing it as a 16% discount from what it said was a listing price of $302 USD or ₹24,999.

Should its Flipkart listing discount be true and its original price as $302, this would mean that buyers could save around $50 from its listing price on the online retailer. Yash, a Twitter or X user, shared with Gizmo China the news about the price increase.

Other Devices Like the Nothing Ear (1) Raised Prices by $50

Yash reportedly claimed that this wasn't the first time that Infinix had done so, especially when it came to other types of smartphones. The company hasn't released any official news when it comes to the reason behind increasing their price.

The article by Gizmo China notes that it's unusual for companies to suddenly raise prices of products that have already been released but this doesn't mean that this never happens. An example of companies suddenly raising prices include the Nothing Ear (1) device which raised from $99 to $150.

Possible Reasons Why the Infinix GT 10 Pro Raised Prices

However, Nothing gave an explanation as to why they decided to do so, with them citing the weaker British pound as the reason behind this decision. With regards to the Infinix GT 10 Pro, no official information has been released justifying why the company decided to raise prices.

However, the reasons behind this decision, according to the report, could be the company trying to offset how component costs were increasing. Another possible reason would be the company just trying to maximize the margins of its profit.

The article also highlights that the price increase doesn't mean the Infinix GT 10 Pro isn't a bad phone. The device still comes with a significant 6.67-inch AMOLED screen, a 108MP primary camera, and even a 120 Hz refresh rate display.
