Apple just announced the iPhone 15 series along with other special devices and updates during its Wonderlust event. With that, the Apple Watch is also expected to get an update in the form of the watchOS 10 which is expected to release on Sept 18.

According to the story by The Verge, along with the announcement of the highly anticipated iPhone 15 series, Apple has also revealed the watchOS 10 device. The update is expected to bring the biggest changes when it comes to the smartphone's operating system.

The smartwatch is expected to come with many new additions like changing its former honeycomb grid among others. Users can also expect the addition of new widgets or what Apple calls "glances."

Users Will See Changes in Widgets and How Easy They'll be to Customize and Swipe Through

The widgets are things that users can swipe through or easily customize. Other announcements given revolve around the Apple Watch Series 9, which highlights how its Siri commands would be processed on the device itself.

Due to Siri commands being processed on the device, the feature helps preserve the user's privacy as their commands and questions are kept within the device. This includes questions on the Health app regarding fitness data or personal health.

It was also noted that the new watch would be packing its new second-gen ultra-wideband (UWB) chip, which is capable of detecting whenever the HomePod is close. It was also revealed that the watch would launch a Now Playing feature which users are free to control.

Apple will also be bringing out upgrades when it comes to its accessibility feature on the main operating system. Users will be able to easily double-tap their fingers together in order to do things like answer calls or even open the Smart Stack widget.

Other Major Changes Include the Function of Side Buttons Especially When It Comes to Making Payments

The announcement also highlights how Apple changed the side button functions, meaning that one press will take users directly to the control center while doing a double-press would lead them to their Apple Wallet.

This would make NFC payments more accessible and easier to execute. Users will also be getting new Nike and Hermes watchfaces.
