Apple Watch Series 8 Can be Traded-In for the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 with a Small Addition

According to the story by Sam Mobile, the Samsung's latest smartwatch model is the Galaxy Watch 6 and so far, the company is trying to attract Apple Watch Series 8 owners to make the change. The company is trying to do this by offering larger trade-in values for owners of the Apple Watch Series 8.

When trading in the Apple Watch Series 8, owners can switch to the Galaxy Watch 6 with just an additional $49. So far, Apple is trying to incentivize owners to let go of their Apple smartwatch and join the Galaxy ecosystem.

Customers Can Get the Newer Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Base Model Via the Official Samsung Website

This comes as Samsung has a lot to offer customers who want to make the switch from Apple, which aside from smartwatches, also includes foldable phones. Apple has not been pursuing foldable phones despite other companies already coming out with their versions.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 base model, which is said to be a 40mm Bluetooth/Wi-Fi variant, originally costs $299 directly from the official Samsung website. It was noted that Samsung would offer users a higher trade-in value for their older smartwatches.

Other Trade-Ins Involve the Apple Watch Series 7 which Samsung Gives a Value of $200

So far, the highest trade-in value that Samsung is offering is for the Apple Watch Series 8, which has a value of $250. This was even higher than their own model, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, which they list at just $200.

It was noted that Samsung also offers a $200 valuation for the Apple Watch Series 7, which is considered already two years old. However, for those who trade in their Apple Watch Series 8 for a $250 valuation, owners would only need to add $49 to get the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6.

The deal was designed to try to attract Apple owners to make the switch to Samsung. As seen on The Verge, the Apple Watch Series 8 was priced at $399 for a brand-new version, and some of its disadvantages are that users still need to charge daily and that there wasn't much difference compared to previous Apple Watch models.

It was noted that so far, Samsung is also running other great deals for buyers, including offering the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra for just $299. As highlighted by Metro Americas, this is due to an up to $900 enhanced trade-in credit for devices like the Galaxy S22 Ultra, which means buyers would only have to shell out a smaller amount.
