Eufy Rolls Out Game-Changing Smart Security Camera Lineup: Dual Lenses, Cross-Camera Tracking, and More

Eufy, the smart home brand under Anker, has unveiled an impressive lineup of upgraded security cameras.

As first reported by The Verge, the new range boasts cutting-edge features such as dual lenses, cross-camera tracking, and advanced AI capabilities, promising a safer and more convenient surveillance experience for users.

Cross-Camera Tracking

One of the standout features of Eufy's latest update is the innovative cross-camera tracking technology

Instead of receiving fragmented alerts, you will get a single, continuous video alert that follows the visitor's journey from start to finish.

Brett White, a spokesperson for Eufy, explained to The Verge that this groundbreaking feature draws inspiration from the banking and traffic industries.

Each camera can detect and intelligently follow motion, resulting in a seamlessly spliced video that captures every event across all connected cameras.

Users will need the Eufy HomeBase 3 hub to utilize this feature, which leverages on-device AI to identify individuals and combines video feeds into a single, coherent clip.

Even better, the tracking feature will be available for free initially, and even older Eufy cameras can enjoy this functionality when paired with the HomeBase 3 hub.

Dual Lenses for Enhanced Clarity

Eufy's new camera lineup continues beyond cross-camera tracking. These devices are equipped with dual lenses, a remarkable hardware upgrade.

One lens offers a wide-angle view, while the other provides telephoto capabilities for precise zooming, ensuring better identification of faces and license plates. This dual-lens setup promises improved image quality and increased security.

AI-Powered Smart Alerts and Privacy Focus

Privacy-conscious consumers will be pleased to learn that Eufy's cameras now have AI-powered smart alerts. Facial recognition, as well as person, pet, and vehicle detection, are included as standard features.

What sets Eufy apart is its commitment to privacy, with on-device AI and locally stored recordings available free of charge, eliminating the need for subscription-based cloud storage.
