The growth of Microsoft's Xbox as a top games destination is highlighted by a new report, centering on two renowned RPG franchises soon releasing their games exclusively to the Xbox platform. In this new report, they gave out warnings to PlayStation 5 users about what they will miss out on if they are not owning an Xbox, with these new games coming soon to the platform.

Both gaming platforms offer renowned exclusive games on its platform, with Xbox growing more because of its significant acquisitions of various gaming companies in the past and present.

Colt Eastwood revealed via the XNC Podcast that there are upcoming role-playing games, whose franchises are famous, which will be available as Xbox exclusives once it releases in the future. These games were said to skip PlayStation in the future, and ComicBook Gaming noted that these will not be available on Sony's gaming platform despite originally releasing here.

These games include Bethesda Game Studios' The Elder Scrolls 6 and Fallout 5, two of the most famous RPGs now, particularly as these are awaited sequels of their respective franchises.

It is also known that Microsoft also saw an exclusive release of a previously much-awaited RPG, Starfield, also coming from Bethesda.

The report further claimed that apart from the RPG sequels coming soon, two game remasters from Bethesda including The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and Fallout 3 will also stay locked in for the Xbox Series X.

Still, it is important to take this new information with a grain of salt, as the remasters are not yet confirmed by the company, with the Fallout 5 and The Elder Scrolls VI not yet releasing anytime soon.

Xbox Exclusives and Acquisitions

One of the largest games of 2023 is an Xbox exclusive, and it is also an RPG title that was launched globally on September 6, and this is Starfield from Bethesda Game Studios. This new game offers an immersive and expansive space experience, offering gamers a chance to travel and visit different parts of the universe, alongside following the main quest storyline.

There is also the coming Activision Blizzard acquisition of Microsoft, centering on the $69 billion purchase of the renowned gaming company that saw major roadblocks on its way to its merger. Initially, rivals of Microsoft have claimed that many of the games from Activision Blizzard that were once available on the PlayStation will see exclusivity, but Xbox has promised otherwise.

Microsoft has been a massive player in the gaming industry for a long time, and its many acquisitions grow more of its portfolio and what it has to offer the public, with new Bethesda games coming. It was speculated that Fallout 5 and The Elder Scrolls VI will be exclusive to the Xbox platforms, along with several top RPG titles awaiting remasters, something that would divide the gaming world once more.
