One of the most famous games of 2022 was the unique story of a cat looking to survive in a dystopian world that is overtaken by technology and machines, with Stray recently announcing its upcoming availability by December. This specific release would be available for macOS, with Apple's massive expansion for Mac Gaming seeing another blockbuster title coming.

This cat adventure game, also regarded as a sim, has been a treat for console and Windows PC gamers over the past year, receiving critical acclaim and praise for it.

Annapurna Interactive has announced that the much-awaited Stray game is coming to the Mac computers, and this will drop on the Apple App Store (for the Mac) and Steam by December 5. Initially, Annapurna made this game available via the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S and X, and the Windows PC only, with some Mac users requesting it from them.

Now, their pleas have been answered, but took more than a year later for the game, but the good thing is it is already confirmed for the macOS platform.

Here is the Compatibility of Stray's Release for the macOS

The Cat Adventure game is on its way to the Mac this holiday, but it is important to note that this has a special compatibility requirement to play on the macOS. The game asks for users to have a Mac with Apple Silicon, a.k.a. the M-series chips, with Intel-based Macs not eligible to install the game and play on their computer.

From 2020's M1 down to the latest M3 revealed earlier this October 30, Macs are getting the Stray experience.

Apple Mac's Gaming and Expansion

During the June WWDC 2023 event, Apple brought the world a significant update for the macOS 14 Sonoma, the latest operating system for the computer, centering on new experiences coming. One of the most iconic for Mac fans and enthusiasts was the arrival of the Game Mode for Sonoma, offering an enhanced capability to run titles and configure connected controllers to the PC.

There are already previous games that Apple included for its Mac, accessible via the App Store for the computer, centering on Hello Games' "No Man's Sky," which recently debuted for the platform.

Larian Studios also made its famed "Baldur's Gate 3" available on the Mac, with this game not requiring users to have the Apple Silicon chip for its compatibility.

Gamers are given a treat to test the capabilities of their Macs and enjoy the experience on the Apple-made computer, especially for those who prefer this over Windows PCs. Stray is one of the top games of its time and it still has a cult following and fandom in the present, and its arrival to the Mac signifies the evolution of its offers in the entertainment side, with the only downside being its Apple Silicon exclusivity upon release.
