Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, who is popularly known as Bad Bunny, is the latest artist to complain about AI.

According to the Puerto Rican rapper, he is not happy seeing an AI-generated version of his voice on TikTok.

Almost everywhere, we see AI. Indeed, the Earth is already an AI-filled world. You can check it on the internet to see it yourself. From ChatGPT to deepfake voice, the influence of this technology is massive.

While artificially altered voices and images seem fascinating at first glance, their implications for the artists could be abysmal.

As mentioned in the report by Insider, Bad Bunny is not happy with what he discovered on TikTok lately. The song "nostalgIA" features his artificially-engineered voice. This also includes the voices of Daddy Yankee and Justin Bieber.

With more advanced AI technology nowadays, it's now easier to replicate someone's voice or even a singer's voice.

Because of this, the 29-year-old singer took his frustration to his WhatsApp channel.

"If you like that viral song on TikTok, get out of this group right now. You don't deserve to be my friends, and that's why I made the new album, to get rid of people like that," the "Neverita" singer said in a post written in Spanish.

Artists See No Good in AI

Bad Bunny isn't alone in his concerns. Drake also raised objections to an AI-generated TikTok song mimicking his voice, leading to its removal from major streaming platforms. Before that, it even qualified to be a Grammy entry.

Ice Cube, another artist, has similarly criticized the use of AI to create music using another artist's vocals. He even called people using it "lazier" and less creative."

Because of his hate towards AI or any deepfake, he even threatened lawsuits against anyone who dared to use the technology to recreate his voice, per Complex.

Aside from the singers, some actors see AI in a bad light like in the case of "John Wick" actor Keanu Reeves who finds deepfakes and AI "scary."

Reeves added that his performance was digitally manipulated by the same technology during the late 90s. The editing was so close to the real scenario and it even featured his emotional side.

Last month, Tom Hanks alerted his fans about the viral video of himself. The AI-generated clip promotes a dental plan.

Hanks said during the "The Adam Buxton Podcast" that he was aware of AI misuse. He has been informing the public on how to be aware of dangerous deepfakes online since they can imitate anything or anyone.
