Last weekend, November 4, Yuga Labs conducted its much-awaited ApeFest for the fans and supporters of the controversial NFT brand, Bored Ape, but instead of going home with hopes for the future of the tokens, attendees were left with severe eye strains

Attendees and fans took to social media to detail their situations after the event, as some claimed that the Hong Kong event led to them waking up in the middle of the night because of eye pains.

After consulting with health professionals, they were regarded to have the "Welder's eye," a.k.a. Photokeratitis, which doctors claimed resulted due to exposure from UV lights.

It was regarded by the visitors that this may be due to the stage's design and laser lights which shone all over the event, with the direct exposure causing this health issue.

Bored Ape's recent statement claims that they are investigating the claims and asks people to consult health professionals, but the company said that there are only 1 percent of its attendees were affected.

November's massive conclusion to the US v. Sam Bankman-Fried saw the former CEO of FTX handed the guilty verdict, with the jury believing that the co-founder committed all seven charges filed against him. The prosecution claims that there is insurmountable evidence brought against SBF, with the facts nailing the disgraced executive for what happened over at the defunct crypto exchange.

Throughout the trial, Bankman-Fried maintained his innocence among the fraud and money laundering charges against him, with former colleagues who previously pleaded guilty, testifying against him.

Over around five weeks, the prosecution brought massive receipts and records about Bankman-Fried's crimes and how they led to FTX's downfall, as well as Alameda's access to customer funds.
