Multiple sources have a massive revelation regarding the controversial case of Sam Altman's axing from OpenAI reports The Verge, following the many happenings that already took place days after he was removed. Now, this centers on a claim that Altman is willing to return to the company and resume his role as the CEO, and this also mentions co-founder Greg Brockman's desire to rejoin OpenAI.

This follows the massive pressure from the entire workforce of the company, including several board members and its chief scientist, Ilya Sutskever, who claimed a mass exodus if both executives would not return.

There are talks about the goal to "reunite the company" in the present, and employees claim online that what makes OpenAI are its people, particularly those involved in paving the way to where it is now.

Altman and Brockman are still in the AI game, but it is not necessarily with OpenAI, both executives and their colleagues may still work with the company through the new roles they were offered with its partner and investor, Microsoft. The latest development from Satya Nadella confirms this, and in Altman's post via X, he talks about "one team, one mission," which talks about his acceptance of this Microsoft role moving forward.

The Controversial Termination of Sam Altman

The recent news from last week shocked the world, and more so, its former chief executive, Sam Altman, who despite co-founding the company, is removed from his post as per the Board's decision. This is similar to the controversy happening over at Parler, the right-wing social media platform, which also removed its co-founder and CEO, John Matze.

While the same situation befalls Altman, he was not left in the air, as Greg Brockman, an esteemed colleague and co-founder of OpenAI, quit his post after the surprising event. Even more so, this saw a significant uprising from the company where other employees have either signed the petition to have the Board resign or join the mass exodus threatening to take place.

Altman is best known for his massive contributions over at OpenAI, and despite the Board and the company considering this, decided to remove him from his position as per their explanation. Now, reports are claiming that Sam Altman is not yet closing his doors on OpenAI, with the ex-CEO claiming to still have desires to rejoin the company, after everything they have been through these past few days.
