SEOUL, November 29, 2023 – Hyundai Motor Company’s all-new SANTA FE is a rugged yet refined midsize SUV that seamlessly integrates the demands of family life with the desire for adventure.

Adding Edge to a Comfortable Family Cruiser

Hyundai Motor Company's latest release, the all-new Santa Fe presents a harmonious blend of rugged durability and refined features, catering to the diverse demands of family life and the thirst for adventure. Already making waves on South Korean roads, the initial reviews are flooding in.

Engadget reported that the test drivers are singing praises for the powertrain's responsiveness and performance, the SUV's adept cornering and high-speed stability, European-inspired ride quality, unparalleled comfort, quietness, and its distinctively captivating design.

Packed with impressive technology, including dual wireless chargers, dual 12.3-inch displays, and wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, the 2024 Santa Fe also introduces a three-row seating configuration for enhanced passenger and cargo capacity.

Under the hood, drivers can choose between a robust 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine generating 277 horsepower or a fuel-efficient 1.6-liter hybrid with 232 ponies.

2024 Santa Fe's Exterior

If the exterior of the Santa Fe reminded you of the Defender, Auto Blog reported that the interior will reinforce that impression.

The steering wheel appears as if it was directly borrowed from a Land Rover, mirroring the squared-off air vents and the climate control screen flanked by temperature dials for both driver and passenger.

In terms of functionality, the spacious center console incorporates two dedicated wireless charging pads for smartphones, an exceptional feature that is quite rare in the market.

Additionally, the storage cubby under the armrest adds a touch of coolness and practicality, opening from either the front or back, although it requires a sturdy pull to unlatch the lid. Importantly, this is not a peculiar quirk limited to pre-production models.

The global Santa Fe model offers diverse powertrain options, including diesel and plug-in hybrid, while North America gets two choices.

The 2.5-liter turbocharged inline-four, known from the Santa Cruz pickup, provides 277 hp and 311 lb-ft of torque, and there's also a hybrid with a 1.6-liter turbo-four, delivering 232 hp and 271 lb-ft.

Both engines offer smooth power delivery, but the more potent 2.5-liter turbo stands out. The Santa Fe, available in front- and all-wheel-drive, features a rugged XRT variant but lacks serious off-road capabilities.

As indicated on its press release, the engagement in outdoor activities soared to a record-breaking 168.1 million individuals, encompassing 55 percent of the U.S. population in 2022.

Hyundai Motor's meticulous development process included surveying young adults to understand their vehicle needs and lifestyles, revealing a strong inclination toward outdoor activities.

Millennials, in particular, exhibit a heightened interest in spending more time outdoors and investing in outdoor products, making the all-new Santa Fe compelling choice for this dynamic demographic.
