Samsung has been bombarded by rumors surrounding its upcoming flagship phone, Galaxy S24+, since the second half of 2023. Now, the evidence is becoming clear that this handset is about to be released soon.
Walmart has accidentally posted the listing for the said unit on its online website ahead of its Jan. 17 debut. We might have to wait 16 days before seeing it, but those who first saw it on the listing already know what it looks like.
Samsung Galaxy S24+ Listing on Walmart
In the unlikeliest of circumstances, Walmart has leaked the listing for Samsung Galaxy S24+ by accident. Right now, the post has been deleted.
In a report by Phone Arena, the now-deleted listing on Walmart features an Onyx Black unit with 12 GB of RAM.
Aside from that, the leaked phone is said to have the new AI Live Translate feature, which lets the two people speak in different languages. Another person on the other line will hear the translated phrase.
Based on our previous report, the AI Call feature will not be exclusive to the Samsung Galaxy S24 lineup alone. Even non-Samsung users will benefit from this feature.
Another important part of the said listing includes the display of the Galaxy S24+, which is expected to be slightly larger than Galaxy S23+'s 6.6-inch screen. The new unit is said to have a 6.7-inch display.
Apart from that, it will also boast a bigger battery at 4700mAh. However, the emergency satellite connectivity is nowhere to be seen in the upcoming handset.
For those unfamiliar with this feature, it's the equivalent of iPhone 15's Emergency SOS Via Satellite.
Speaking of this, the head of Samsung Electronics SLSI Business Division, John Yong-in Park, teased in October that this emergency feature will help those who need immediate assistance not covered by cellular service.
A few days before the announcement, the company is touted to be experimenting with cellular connectivity for the S24 lineup.

Samsung Galaxy S24+ Features
Other features that will surprise the fans include Generative Edit, considered a next-gen editing feature for those who want to move or remove an image easily.
According to Forbes, this feature needs an internet connection, which means that what we are getting soon for Galaxy S24+ are all online functionalities.
In another story by BGR, the recent leak could mean that there are more AI features to be shown for the new model during the Unpacked event.
The leak also suggests that a 50MP camera will be available for the Plus variant. The Galaxy S24+ will even have its own version of ChatGPT dubbed as "Gauss."
If the rumors and the leaked Walmart listing are connected, there's a huge chance that we will witness the most anticipated debut for Galaxy S24 by Jan. 17.
