After months of leaks and rumors, the Samsung Galaxy S24 lineup is finally here. The company thinks that it can go at par with Apple's iPhone 15 series.

Following the current flagship tradition, Samsung has introduced the S24 range, comprising the S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra. Priced at $800, $1,000, and $1,300 respectively, these smartphones promise newly-improved AI capabilities to cater to the needs of the users, according to MacRumors.

AI Takes the Center Stage

During a preview at its Kings Cross offices in London, Samsung showcased the AI prowess of the Galaxy S24 series.

The devices demonstrated advanced AI capabilities, including photo editing and item search. This only meant that Samsung was heavily investing in AI so Galaxy S24 users could lightly accomplish tasks with their new phones.

S24 Ultra, AI Features, and More

The S24 Ultra, the series's flagship, retains the familiar aesthetics of its predecessor, the S23 Ultra, with a 6.8-inch display. However, a notable improvement is the use of titanium for enhanced durability.

This time, Samsung's emphasis on sturdiness positions the S24 Ultra as a reliable and resilient device.

Furthermore, the tech giant is capitalizing on "on-demand" AI, enabling the execution of AI workloads directly on the device rather than relying on cloud processing. The Galaxy S24 Ultra, powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset optimized for Galaxy, leads a new era in consumer AI integration in smartphones.

A standout feature of the Galaxy S24 range is the ability to leverage AI for real-time tasks.

Users can circle locations or objects with their camera, prompting the AI to provide relevant results. This innovative approach enhances user engagement and leverages AI to simplify information retrieval.

Another thing to take note of is the AI-driven photo editing feature, which allows users to edit pictures seamlessly. From removing reflections to relocating subjects within a photo, the AI empowers users to customize their images effortlessly.

Then, there is a Live transcription feature for multilingual conversations. The company addresses privacy concerns by implementing an AI watermarking system. Any AI-based edits made to photos are logged in metadata, ensuring transparency and ethical usage.

The Impending Super Cycle for Samsung

Industry experts, including Paolo Pescatore from PP Foresight, foresee the potential for a significant super cycle for Samsung.

"Arguably [Samsung] has done more than enough with the new features powered by its own AI platform. This potentially could be the start of a new era for smartphones, representing a key super cycle for Samsung," " Pescatoer said in a report by CNBC.

Ben Wood, Chief Analyst at CCS Insight, shares the importance of Samsung's ability to communicate the benefits of its AI-based features. Crisp marketing strategies and expanded use cases will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of the Galaxy S24 portfolio in the competitive smartphone market.
