Pokemon Scarlet and Violet hits its fifth season with new Pokemon for Regulation F. If you want to climb to the ranks now, here are the best cores you can use.

At the moment, you cannot use the new Paradox Legendaries, but the newly evolved Pokemon such as Hydrapple and Archaludon are no exemption. You can add them to your team and mix-match your strategies.

Incineroar + Urshifu + Rillaboom

The fire-water-grass cores of Ushifu Rapid-Strike Style, Incineroar, and Rillaboom are some of the most common cores you can see in the current teams.

With the comeback of the big cat, your Intimidate game is at its A-grade. This core can cover a lot of weaknesses and exploit your opponent's walls.

Urshifu can move as a wall breaker and Incineroar will play as support with Fake Out, Helping Hand, and Parting Shot. Rillaboom will tank some special attacks thanks to Assault Vest.

Walking Wake + Gouging Fire + Tornadus Incarnate

Walking Wake is the bane of existence for both sun and rain teams. It can thrive in two types of weather thanks to its Hydro Steam. Meanwhile, the greatest Prankster user Tornadus excels as support with Tailwind and Sunny Day.

The newest legal Pokemon Gouging Fire is finally here as a Physical Sweeper. You can equip it with a Clear Amulet or Choice Band.

Indeedee F + Iron Crown

Gone are the days when we enjoyed seeing Armarouge sweeping the whole team with Expanding Force. The new boy on the roll with Indeeded (Female) is Iron Crown who is faster and stronger than Armarouge.

Some Indeedee users still use Trick Room. With Iron Crown, there's no point in setting up one anymore. Just make sure to equip Indeedee with a Helping Hand.

Ogerpon + Fluttermane + Incineroar

Incineroar's comeback is expected to boom as it joins Fluttermane and Ogerpon as one of the greatest Regulation F cores.

Ogerpon covers Incineroar's weakness with Water Absorb and you can use Flutter Mane at the back while you wait for a special sweep.

This trio never fails to impress us since they have a lot to offer to every team.

Archaludon + Tornadus + Pelipper

Who says Pelipper is long gone in Regulation F? Well, the big bird is still raking wins with its Drizzle ability. What's more, you can add Tornadus as additional support to a Vested Archaludon.

Archaludon's Electro Shot is a new signature move that boosts its Sp. Atk by one stage. Unlike other charging moves, it unleashes the beam on the same turn.

With Tailwind from either Pelipper or Tornadus, you're guaranteed to go first unless there's a speedier Pokemon in the field. Pelipper's Wide Guard can also help you cover the spread moves your opponent wants to throw.
