Like all else during the start of the year, Google also has plans on what it will work on for the rest of the year, laying out the goals of 2024 right before January ends, centering on the significant developments for its tech. This was revealed by Google's CEO, Sundar Pichai, addressing the company on what specific plans it has that it will soon deliver to the world via its products and features.

A company-wide memo from the Google CEO addressed what the company will focus on for this year, with AI being its top priority to offer, centering on improved experiences and safety. As obtained by The Verge, here are the goals for 2024 that Pichai and Google are looking forward to achieving for its new year:
Deliver the world's most advanced, safe, and responsible Al.
Improve knowledge, learning, creativity, and productivity.
Build the most helpful personal computing platforms and devices.
Enable organizations and developers to innovate on Google Cloud.
Provide the world's most trusted products and platforms.
Build a Google that's extraordinary for Googlers and the world.
Improve company velocity, efficiency, and productivity, and deliver durable cost savings.
From AI to improving more of its products and services coming this year, Google has no shortage of work to do to achieve its goals for 2024, also promising improvements for its Googlers and workforce. Google Cloud also gets a highlight, but one of the most anticipated is the Gemini Ultra, with a massive focus on improving more of its AI.
Also, while not mentioned by Pichai, Pixel 9 is expected from the company, anticipated to offer improved AI integration this year.
Google and What it Has In Store for All
While this announcement from Google is looking forward to new beginnings and improvements for what the tech has to offer, there are still dark days ahead for its employees, especially with the recent layoffs that took place. However, that was not yet the end of it, per Google's top executive, as Pichai claimed that there are more coming soon, telling employees to brace for further reductions.
Another of what Google recently changed and one thing that customers can look forward to for the rest of the year is the company's upgrade for its web browser app, centering on the privacy and security features available. Early this year, the company began phasing out the third-party cookies for Chrome that would boost more of the privacy of its users and help improve the speed of its use.
There has been a mixture of good and bad for Google early this year, and it both applies to its customers and employees who rely on the company's progression. While layoffs are massive from Google now especially with many job cuts experienced, Pichai and the company is looking to improve more of its craft this year, with AI its top priority, among its other products.
