A new driver from NVIDIA is here to bring improvements to your online video streaming, particularly for clips that have low resolutions as it is the only permitted quality available. This is called the RTX Video, and it offers to upscale the online clips to HDR quality and improve it for the user to as much as 4K resolution, using its latest developments in AI to deliver this feature.

This feature is only available for those who own GeForce RTX GPUs, with the driver working to improve the quality and resolution of the videos.

Streaming videos online will give users the chance to choose from resolutions that best fit their needs, but for the blurry videos that have no more hope for improvements, NVIDIA's RTX Video HDR offers a solution to deliver a new experience for all. Through this RTX Video HDR driver, its AI will help deliver upscaling to the online content, but there is a catch.

NVIDIA's RTX Video to Help GeForce RTX GPUs

According to NVIDIA, a browser's upscaling techniques may result in blurry outputs that cannot match the promised quality, but through this new driver, users will get help from their GPUs to upscale the video for them. This would help improve more of the streams and put the load on the GPUs to process these clips with the driver's help.

This only applies to Chrome and Edge's streaming, and would not help improve on games.

NVIDIA's Chips, GPUs, and AI Developments

One of the massive developments of last year was from NVIDIA, and this led to the company earning massive revenue for its venture towards everything artificial intelligence. This centered on its chips, GPUs, and more which helps deliver or harness the power of machine learning for its development, promising faster features and improved capabilities for the new tech.

It committed itself to focus on AI's development and digital infrastructure, with a massive collaboration with Vietnam to help expand more of this venture.

Moreover, the widely regarded H100 chips for enterprise AI made wonders for the company, used by the likes of OpenAI, Meta, and more.

With its massive focus on AI bearing fruits for the company from last year until now, NVIDIA has positioned itself to also deliver significant features that bring machine learning to the user's advantage.
