Netflix unveiled their next game to arrive on the streaming platform's mobile experience featuring the famous indie title, Hades, coming soon this March. This game will be available from Netflix Games on the iOS version only and will be exclusive for iPhone and iPad users to play.

This latest revelation adds more to Netflix Games' growing list of titles available on the platform, with renowned franchises coming to this service.

Supergiant Games' multi-award winning title, Hades, will be making its grand mobile platform debut via Netflix Games this March 19, and the streaming platform's recent announcement invites the world to enjoy the title. This new trailer from Netflix Games showed how Hades transformed to be compatible with touchscreen mobile controls, stemming from its run on the PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

Fans and gamers may now pre-register to get Hades when it drops on the Apple App Store this March 19, but this would require an active Netflix subscription to play the game.

This also follows the current work from Supergiant Games to bring Hades II, the sequel to the famed indie RPG.

Moreover, Supergiant only worked on the iOS port of Hades, with Android snubbed by the developer.

Growing List of Netflix Games

A mix of original games and licensed titles are available on Netflix Games, making it a renowned publisher in the mobile platform through its expanded entertainment experiences. Apart from this iconic addition of Hades, Netflix Games is also known for housing the likes of the GTA Trilogy, Oxenfree II, Spiritfarer, TMNT: Shredder's Revenge, Tomb Raider Reloaded, and more.

Netflix Games also plans to bring Sonic Mania Plus, Braid, and Katana Zero later this year.

Netflix's Entertainment Offers

In 2020, Netflix's plans to bring games to its platform saw rumors and speculations, and later, the company tested this experience via a beta in selected regions. Fast forward to 2021, Netflix launched this extension of its entertainment offers to a worldwide release, with its initial rollout coming to Android users before it launched in iOS.

Its original titles include several Stranger Things games that offer arcade-style experiences but later expanded to distributing licensed titles from developers.

In 2023 alone, Netflix Games claimed that it is expanding its lineup with more than 40 titles coming to the platform, centering on the latest additions to the mobile gaming experience. It was also during this time when Netflix was speculated to be moving towards cloud game streaming, and not its current mobile-based focus.

Last year, one of Netflix's biggest releases came with the addition of Rockstar Games' Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - Definitive Edition featuring the three games from this remastered collection. That being said, Netflix Games is not slowing down with what it has to offer subscribers of the platform, with perhaps one of the best titles to arrive on the platform, Hades, now available for pre-registration before its March 19 release.
