EV-maker Eli Electric Vehicles (Eli) has recently launched its latest micro-electric vehicle, the Eli ZERO, in the United States. Priced at $11,900, this compact car promises to transform city travel with its advanced features and affordable price point.

Designed for Urban Living
The Eli ZERO is engineered with urban living in mind, boasting a compact size of just 4.5 feet wide and 7.4 feet long. Despite its small dimensions, the vehicle comfortably accommodates two passengers, making it an ideal choice for navigating busy city streets.
Equipped with a high-capacity battery, the Eli ZERO offers an impressive range of up to 90 miles and a top speed limited to 25 mph on a single charge.
This extended range ensures drivers can complete their daily commutes without frequent recharging, providing greater convenience and peace of mind. Additionally, the 3.2 kW onboard charger can fully charge the car in less than three hours at 240VAC or less than five hours at 120VAC.
"Our goal is to transform urban trips, empowering riders to reconnect with their communities through compact and agile EVs that allow for a better utilization of urban space, reduced congestion, ease of parking and ultimately an improved quality of life in cities," Marcus Li, CEO and founder of Eli Electric Vehicles said in a press release.
In fact, the French Polynesian government in Central Pacific has already adopted the Eli ZERO as part of its new eco-friendly transportation fleet.
Safety and Convenience
The Eli ZERO has a range of features aimed at protecting occupants on the road. From hydraulic electric-powered-assisted disc brakes to MacPherson front struts with anti-roll bar, the vehicle offers stability and control in various driving conditions.
The microcar also prioritizes convenience and comfort for its driver. It ensures a seamless experience with keyless entry and start, power-assisted steering, and an electronic parking brake. Inside the cabin, passengers can enjoy a premium interior featuring vegan leather seats, a digital driver display, and a SONY infotainment system with Bluetooth connectivity and speakers.
Despite its compact size, the Eli ZERO offers ample storage space for daily essentials. With a trunk capacity of 160L (5.6 cubic feet), drivers can easily stow their belongings for short trips or errands around the city.

Reservations Now Open
Interested buyers can reserve their Eli ZERO today with a $200 fully refundable deposit. The vehicle is expected to be available for sale in the third quarter of 2024, and its production capacity exceeds 4,000 vehicles per year.
Eli Electric's decision to enter the US market is backed by solid data and market research. With approximately 75% of journeys in the US being under 10 miles, CEO Li notes that there is a clear demand for efficient and affordable transportation solutions tailored to short trips.
