Comcast Launches NOW Internet and Now Mobile

Bill Connors, President of Connectivity and Platforms at Comcast, emphasized that NOW provides a straightforward, dependable, cost-effective solution for consumers seeking tailored Internet and Mobile services.

According to Connors, trials revealed a demand for a superior prepaid product, leading to the development of these new options.

NOW Internet promises a more dependable and affordable connection compared to 5G home Internet from cellular providers. It utilizes the nation's largest landline network with over 99 percent reliability. The service incorporates AI technology to detect and resolve disruptions.

Meanwhile, NOW Mobile leverages WiFi connectivity, which accounts for a significant portion of smartphone data traffic.

According to Comcast, unlike traditional prepaid providers, NOW Mobile capitalizes on over 23 million WiFi hotspots across the U.S.

The company also claims that NOW provides flexibility by allowing customers to subscribe, pause, or resume their Internet, mobile, and TV services online or via the Xfinity app.

NOW Internet and NOW Mobile are part of existing options such as NOW TV and NOW WiFi Pass, which are found within Comcast's connectivity and entertainment options portfolio.

Meanwhile, NOW Mobile offers affordable unlimited plans when bundled with Xfinity or NOW Internet, starting at $55 per month for bundled services and $25 per month for each additional Mobile line.

NOW TV is a $20 streaming package featuring 40+ live channels, over two dozen integrated FAST channels, and access to Peacock Premium via the Xfinity Stream app.

Lastly, NOW WiFi Pass provides unlimited access to over 23 million Xfinity WiFi hotspots at $20 for 30 days, without cancellation fees or equipment charges.

Overall, Comcast's NOW initiative aims to provide consumers with accessible, affordable, and flexible connectivity options tailored to their needs, leveraging the power of the Xfinity network and technologies like AI and WiFi connectivity.

"NOW is a simple, reliable, and low-cost way for people to get Internet and Mobile service on their own terms," Connors said in a press release statement

"Our trials have shown that there is a need for a better prepaid product that provides a more consistent and reliable connection and we're excited to bring fresh new options to this market."
