Two New Mario Games Leak From Nintendo

Renowned leaker Midori revealed that two-game codenames were discovered in a Nintendo leak, pointing out two new titles coming soon from the company. First, there is a game codenamed "SPRed," and the leaker further detailed that "Red" is Nintendo's insider code for "Mario."

"SP" remains unknown, and while this alone does not give any intricate details, Midori revealed that it could be a new 3D Mario game from Nintendo. Additionally, SPRed was claimed to be the one currently under development by Nintendo.

On the other hand, there is also the "SilverStar" codename from Nintendo, and it was unveiled that 2017's Super Mario Odyssey was previously codenamed "RedStar." Although Midori didn't provide any additional details, this second leak suggests that it might be a sequel to or related to Odyssey.

These next-gen Mario games are massive developments from Nintendo now, but there are still uncertainties and questions about when they will be released and for which console they will be available. It is important to note that the new Switch, a.k.a. Switch 2, will not come until 2025, and there are still launch windows for new games for current-gen consoles for this year.

Nintendo Switch 2's Speculated Games

Massive speculations, expectations, and leaks have created a buzz behind a Nintendo Switch 2 console, igniting the fire for fans and enthusiasts anticipating the next-gen device. Earlier this May, Nintendo's President, Shuntaro Furukawa, announced online that its new gaming console is a successor to the Switch and would be revealed within the next fiscal year

Moreover, there are also speculations behind the many SEGA developments that would also be available with the new console, centered on a Bayonetta TrilogyCrazy TaxiGolden Axe, and more.

With the Switch 2 heavily anticipated by the world, it is expected that Nintendo will also develop a new Super Mario game. Two games have now leaked, and one is currently under development from Nintendo.
