A new leak shows that the Xbox One software update will arrive this March. Reports also indicate that Microsoft will soon release a white console and an Xbox One with 1 TB of storage onboard.

The Xbox One software update will reportedly fix the problems that many users were having with Xbox Live. The party chat function, Kinect voice control and the social media sharing buttons will also see significant improvements. The OS update is expected to arrive in March. Although the leak came from an unnamed person posting on the forum NeoGAF, the Verge has also verified the report through its own sources, so the rumor has more clout.

The leaker listed several new games that he believes will join the Xbox One's already impressive lineup. The games include "Halo 2 Anniversary," "Quantum Break," "Sunset Overdrive" and "Titanfall." "Fable Legends" should come out by summer 2015. Unfortunately, "Gears of War and "Crackdown 3" are still several years away from being released for Xbox One.

The leaker also managed to find images of the special, limited edition Titanfall Xbox One, which is rumored to arrive in March as well. In addition, Microsoft will most likely release a white Xbox console due to popular demand. The version of the Xbox One that comes with a hefty 1 TB of storage will supposedly come much later in the year with a possible release date rumored for November. The leaker also claims that Microsoft will introduce a cheaper Xbox One for $399. However, that report remains unverified.

Microsoft will supposedly release the Xbox One in Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Russia, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Colombia, Chile, Argentina and more before the end of April 2014.

In the meantime, Microsoft is amping up its marketing campaign against its main rival--the Sony PlayStation 4. Microsoft is offering $100 to anyone who wants to sell them their old PS3 in exchange for a brand-new Xbox One. The deal lasts until March 2 and Microsoft hopes it will help give its new console the edge over the PS4 in the United States.

The Xbox One and PS4 have been neck and neck in sales ever since they were released late last year. Some reports indicate that Sony's PS4 might be selling faster than the Xbox One, but once Microsoft expands the Xbox One's reach to more countries, that gap could easily close. Only time will tell which game console will win the war.
