In September 2023, while most of his peers at HEC Paris, Europe's most prestigious business school, were polishing résumés, securing internships, and mapping safe careers in consulting or finance, Sezer Kemer made an unconventional choice: he dropped out.
This wasn't the American-style dropout myth of Silicon Valley, where returning is always an option. In Paris, the stakes were far higher. Sezer left with a $70,000 student loan, no professional track record, and no guarantee of success. Yet he had discovered something more powerful than a traditional classroom: the limitless potential of AI.
"I realized anything could be learned on the internet," he recalls. "Books, YouTube, communities, that's where I was truly learning sales, entrepreneurship, and AI. School felt empty in comparison."
Sezer's first venture, an automation agency, faltered when the technology wasn't mature enough to meet market expectations. Undeterred, he launched an AI-driven outbound agency that helped B2B companies automate outreach. It found traction but lacked the scale to transform an industry. These early attempts, though imperfect, proved invaluable. They taught him resilience, sharpened his entrepreneurial instincts, and reinforced his belief that technology could, and should, be used to solve real human problems.
Everything changed in early 2025 when Sezer met Michael Nefedov. Within just 10 days, the two co-founded OS Recovery (Previously Omnisales) and secured $500,000 in funding at a $5 million post-money valuation. They started out by building technologies that enabled AI agents to communicate more reliably with other applications and tools. They recently decided to apply this tech to one of the least glamorous industries imaginable: debt collection. To most, the sector seems faceless and cold, defined by inefficiency. But Sezer saw an extraordinary opportunity to rebuild it with empathy and intelligence.
"Right now, no voice AI can reliably perform compliant debt collection calls," he explains. "We're building an AI agent that actually listens, understands why someone is in debt, and works with them toward a long-term solution. Empathy leads to better outcomes."
By embedding honesty, transparency, and collaboration into the very fabric of their technology, Sezer and Michael are reimagining debt collection. Their agent can perform empathetic phone calls, verify the person's identity, understand their situation, and come up with a payment plan. The best part is that it does it very well.
What makes Sezer Kemer's story so compelling isn't just his technical innovation, but also his courage to take the unconventional path. Dropping out of HEC Paris was not an end, but the beginning of a permissionless journey defined by bold risks, relentless learning, and an unshakable belief in the transformative power of AI.
Sezer is proving himself to be a unique and outstanding talent who sees opportunities where others see barriers and who dares to bring extraordinary ideas into reality.
"In the end," he reflects, "if we do this right, consumers win, businesses win, and the industry moves forward."
For Sezer Kemer, the future isn't just about building more intelligent AI. It's about creating a world where technology empowers everyone.
