The latest "Arc Raiders" patch, "Headwinds," delivers two highly anticipated augments and a suite of gameplay improvements designed to enhance strategy, survival, and overall player experience.
While official patch notes are somewhat vague, fans are already talking about the new tools that could change the game forever.
Looting Mk.3 (Safekeeper)
According to Polygon, the best augment, Looting Mk.3 (Safekeeper), introduces a safe pocket capable of storing any item, including rare weapons like Bettina, Vulcano, Aphelion, Equalizer, or Jupiter.
Unlike other augments, items stored in this pocket survive player death, giving collectors and strategists a critical advantage in prolonged battles.
Tactical Mk.3 (Revival)
The Tactical Mk.3 (Revival) augment prioritizes survival. It mirrors the passive Combat Mk.2 effect by restoring 1 health point every 5 seconds and adds a reusable defibrillator. While limited by a four-minute cooldown, it allows players to revive themselves or teammates in pivotal moments, offering a reliable safety net during intense firefights.
New Modes, Maps, and Features
The "Arc Raiders" January Update 1.13.0 also featured the following:
- Solo vs Squads Mode: Grants a +20% XP bonus, regardless of extraction success
- Trophy Display Project: Long-term rewards include 300,000 coins, a howl emote, and a guitar, with blueprints available for each step
- Bird City Map Update: Permanent Buried City condition increases flying arc enemies and player density, raising the stakes in urban combat
Weapon and Enemy Balances
Higher-tier weapons appear more frequently in loot cases
- Queen and matriarch parts now require fully destroying their armor
- Leapers gain mobility after losing limbs
- Stella Montis out-of-bounds glitches fixed, Seed Vault hiding spots removed
- Lamps are disabled during night raids
- Streamers face fewer targeted attacks due to a new matchmaking delay
Goodbye Cheaters
"Arc Raiders" also implements a progressive three-strike ban system: 30 days for the first offense, 60 days for the second, and permanent bans on the third.
If you're getting bugged by cheaters in the game, don't worry now. The devs want players to have a fairer, more competitive experience for the community.
