"Grand Theft Auto VI" has been confirmed for a release later this year, and the latest from Take-Two Interactive reaffirms the dates again.
'GTA VI' Release Date Confirmed by Take-Two Boss
According to a report by ComicBook Gaming, Take-Two Interactive recently confirmed during an investor call that "Grand Theft Auto VI" is still on track for its November 19 release date.
The reaffirmation comes after a wave of speculation that the game could face yet another delay into 2027, as well as fans becoming increasingly worried after several months with no new updates, including the much-awaited new trailer.
The fans' worries are valid since "Grand Theft Auto VI" was first announced back in 2023 with an initial 2025 target. However, there were no trailers released during this time, and when one was released, it also came with news of a delay from Rockstar Games.
What to Expect From 'Grand Theft Auto VI'
The game returns to the beloved fan-favorite setting of Vice City, and this time, players will follow two protagonists, Lucia Caminos and Jason Duval, in what sounds like a Bonnie and Clyde-style story.
There are expectations that the game will feature a massive map of Vice City, one of the beloved settings from a previous game in the franchise. Because of the previous trailer, fans expect it to be a map that will offer more than what "Grand Theft Auto V" and Los Santos shared when it debuted more than a decade ago.
It is also expected that more mini-games will be available to play, along with live animals roaming around the sandbox and an open-world-esque experience.
That said, it remains unconfirmed what exactly "Grand Theft Auto VI" will deliver, mainly because the main trailer from Rockstar Games only confirmed one part of the story, with more to be told once new releases arrive.
Additionally, Rockstar has not yet specified the engine powering the game, but they are known for having the RAGE engine (Rockstar Advanced Game Engine), which powered previous titles like "Red Dead Redemption 2" and "GTA V."
