Amazon Moves Prime Day Back to June With Extended Four-Day Global Shopping Event

Massive shopping day is waiting for all consumers across tech, gaming, and grocery deals.

Amazon has officially moved its flagship shopping event, Prime Day, back to June after several years of holding it in July. This year's event is scheduled to run from June 23 to June 26, marking a four-day sales period that continues the expanded format first introduced last year.

While the official dates are confirmed, early Prime Day deals are already available through the platform's dedicated landing page, giving members early access to discounts across multiple product categories.

This year's Prime Day preview highlights major savings on tech and gaming products. Brands such as Sony and Logitech G are expected to see discounts of up to 50%, making the event one of the strongest gaming-focused sales periods of the year.

Laptop deals from manufacturers including HP and Asus are also expected to reach discounts of up to 40%, while select televisions from major brands will follow similar pricing reductions.

Amazon's own ecosystem of devices will also play a key role in the sale. Products such as Kindle e-readers, Echo smart speakers, Fire TV devices, Ring and Blink security systems, and eero networking hardware are expected to be heavily discounted.

Amazon Basics products will also be included, continuing the company's strategy of promoting essential everyday goods at lower prices during major sales events.

Grocery and Essentials Push Expands Prime Strategy

Beyond electronics, Amazon is improving its grocery and same-day delivery strategy during Prime Day. Early promotions include aggressive pricing on select fresh food items, such as $1 red cherries, $1 hot dogs with buns, and bundles like four ears of corn for $1.

According to GSMArena, these deals are designed to compete more directly with major retailers such as Walmart, as Amazon continues expanding its fast-delivery grocery infrastructure and local fulfillment capabilities.

Prime Day Expands Across Global Markets

Reuters reports that Prime Day will once again operate as a global event, running across regions including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Australia, Japan, and multiple countries in the Middle East and Europe.

Some regions, including Brazil and Japan, are also expected to feature localized shopping events tailored to regional demand.

Why Amazon Shifted Prime Day to June

According to Amazon executives, the move to June is strategic. The company cited major global events such as the FIFA World Cup cycle and the 250th anniversary of U.S. independence as factors influencing the decision. The goal is to position Prime Day in a less competitive retail window while maximizing consumer attention.

Prime Day Becomes a Much More Fun Experience

In addition to shopping discounts, Prime members will also gain access to entertainment perks such as early film screenings tied to upcoming releases.
