Any longtime fan of The Walking Dead knows that Rick and the group finding other survivors typically doesn't work out too well for anyone. Sure, there have been a few successful mergers - the group probably wouldn't have survived Season 2 without the farmhouse gang - but lately, finding another group of survivors has been a pretty bad omen. 

Following the last two seasons of the show, it's understandable why Rick and the others are so worried about how many other survivors are out there waiting for them. In a new preview for next week's episode, fans can see just how determined Rick is to find out how many are out there...

As far as teasers go, it's pretty familiar territory. Sure, it's only a short clip, and there's not much you can get away with in roughly 45 seconds, but interrogating a prisoner about how many friends he has and only receiving a non-answer in return is a basically a tradition for the show at this point.

All things considered, it'd be hard for things to go as badly as they did with the Governor. That whole fiasco took up more than an entire season - then again, when it comes to Rick's group, there's really no limit to the kind of trouble they can find themselves in. Who knows - maybe "The Distance" is setting up another huge war between survivors.
