Some piggly wiggly's were not happy after going to market when they returned to their parked vehicles on Friday to find them crashed into by an elderly driver.

Fortunately, although two of the nine cars involved in the accident had occupants, miraculously, no injuries were reported.

As the video released by the Mayville police shows, the 92-year old driver, Russel Kerr, was backing out of the parking lot at the Piggly Wiggly grocery in Mayville, WI, when his foot got stuck in the accelerator. He panicked and in less than one minute, lost control of his car and hit several other vehicles as he tried to regain control.

"I can tell you in 23 years of law enforcement, I've never seen anything like this," Police Chief Christopher MacNeill told reporters after the incident.

MacNeill went on to add that he usually only sees behavior like that in a vehicle from someone trying to elude the police or exhibiting road rage. Some initial reports even suggested that the elderly driver might have even been on some medication or needed vision testing.

However, it was all simply an unfortunate accident.

Reportedly, the owners of the damaged vehicles were quite understanding of the situation and were just happy that nobody was hurt in what could have been a more serious series of crashes.

Donald Gourlie, who's wife's car was one of those damaged, said he was coming out of the grocery when he saw the bizarre sight.

"What are you going to do? There isn't much you can say. It just happens. I was just glad no one got hurt," Donald Gourlie said.

He said that on the bottom of the card that he had just bought for his wife of 58 years for Valentines, he scribbled the note: "I love you. P.S. Sorry about your car."

Although the driver will not be cited for the accident, he is most likely going to have to re-take a driving test.

"He's not walking away from this scot- free," MacNeill said, indicating that a crash report was sent to the Department of Motor Vehicles.
