Happy birthday, PlayStation Vita! Sony's handheld gaming console has been around for three years as of Feb. 15. To celebrate, Sony is giving out some free goodies to Vita gamers to mark the occasion, as well as throwing a huge birthday sale.

If you just want your free gifts, look no further. All Vita gamers can download the Toro and Friends theme for free (regularly $1.99) from Feb. 26 - March 2. If you've been wanting to check out the free-to-play Fat Princess: Piece of Cake or already find yourself playing it, you can receive one eight gold coin pack for free to use in the game.

Finally, players of Destiny of Spirits can receive the Himiko spirit, usually only available in Japan, just for logging in and completing the game's tutorial between Feb. 24 and Feb. 25. Players will then receive the spirit in their in-game mailbox on Feb. 26.

That's all for the free stuff, but there are also plenty full-fledged Vita titles on sale. Some of the highlights include Call of Duty: Black Ops Declassified, which is only $9.99 for PlayStation Plus members and regularly retails for $49.99, and PlayStation All Stars: Battle Royale for $5.40, on sale from its usual $17.99.

If you've been waiting for the chance to pick up some classic titles, the sale has some great deals for you as well. You can snag the Jak and Daxter Collection for $8.10 (on sale from $26.99), Jet Set Radio for $4.99 (down from $9.99) and Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee HD for $4.99 (down from $9.99).

There are some great deals across the board, so be sure to check out the full list of games on sale by heading over to the official PlayStation blog. The sale is live as of Feb. 24 and will be going for one week, so be sure to snag the games you've been wanting while the offers last.
