The two-hour season finale of How to Get Away With Murder was titled "The Night Lila Died / It's All My Fault." By default, it promised viewers some answers -- but were they ready to finally get them?

If you don't want to know who got away with murder and how they did it, read no further because... SPOILERS below!

In order to answer the question everybody wants to know, the show goes back to the beginning. To the very fateful night of Aug. 29 when Lila's lifeless body is found.

The episode reveals that Rebecca and Lila argue that day about Griffith and Sam. After a heated exchange, the women "break up" and Lila ends up calling Sam to tell him that she tried to sleep with Griffin -- to pass him off as her baby daddy.

At a frat house, Rebecca texts Lila from Griffin's phone inviting her over, but she attempts to have sex with him herself. When Lila walks in on them, Griffin has to fend off Lila from attacking Rebecca -- much to her delight.

Lila then goes to the roof and hangs up on Griffin when he tries to call. She hides in the water tank when Sam, who drove all the way from New Haven, comes to her and confesses his love for her. He then leaves her so he can make things right and fess up to Analise.

Sam heads to a payphone where we think he is going to call Analise. Instead, he gives the dark orders to someone else on the line: "I need you to do what we talked about. You owe me," he says.

And we finally see who does the deed: Frank strangles Lila under Sam's command!

Although Rebecca initially takes the fall for the murder, the second half of the episode is dedicated to pointing the finger at the true culprit.

So, how do you get away with murder?

By committing another one, of course!

Before the episode comes to a close, Analise convinces Wes that it is Sam who has killed Lila. But when Analise and Frank go down to the basement after he leaves to find Rebecca, they ask each other a mysterious question: was it you?

Each of them say no. And the camera pans to reveal what they are talking about: Rebecca's dead body.

And that is exactly what the renewed series will be tackling when it comes back. The breakthrough series will most definitely be back for another run, with a whole new whodunit case to eagerly follow every week for Season 2.
