This video is just wild.

When tourists are visiting South Africa, going on a safari to see the animals in their natural habitat is an obvious excursion to participate in. Tourists view the wild animals from the comfort and safety of their cars, but it's important to remember that they are just visitors and the lion is the king of this territory.

And according to this video that has now gone viral, it's important to remember to lock your car doors because you never know who will try to hitch a ride—or want to get a quick bite.

In the video, a lioness shocked one group of vacationers when she opened their car door with her teeth.

Sisters Kaylene and Cindy were visiting their parents in South Africa who were serving a mission and decided to take a family adventure into the wild. The girls filmed the terrifying video which shows the lion stalk the car before coming right up to door.

"Did you video that?" one of the sister asked.

The lioness was just lounging with her herd when she gets up and walks over to the car. The car begins to slowly move forward, capturing the male of the pack. Then the sneaky lioness is seen creeping up on the back passenger door and is remarkably able to open it.

The girls instantly scream, shut the door, and can be heard saying "lock the door!"

"Oh my gosh, I didn't know they could do that," one of the sister said and then the family starts laughing, telling the father to make sure all the doors are locked.

Yeah, we didn't know either.

The video was uploaded a year ago, but has only gone viral now thanks to Reddit. Watch the video below.
