If you think C-SPAN, the channel that broadcasts more of what the American government does than you ever wanted to watch, isn't cool or hip, you're wrong, my friends. There aren't many venues these days where a rando can just burst into The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air theme song.

Yes, a man that identified himself as Jack Strickland called in to the C-SPAN show Washington Journal on Tuesday, and it was glorious. Though the host prompted callers to voice their thoughts on how much influence Congress should have on the Iran negotiations, clearly Strickland had other ideas.

He first clarified that he was calling from Bel-Air, Calif., although he had just been visiting Philadelphia, where he is originally from. While there, he was talking about the issue with a friend on a basketball court, of all places.

"At some point during the conversation, a couple of guys who were up to no good essentially started causing trouble in my neighborhood," Strickland said during the call, which should sound familar to you. "I got in one little fight, and my mom got scared. She said you’re moving with your auntie and your uncle in Bel-Air.”

Strickland didn't rap The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air theme song, but even in spoken word, you can recognize those lyrics a mile away. The best part is the host of Washington Journal had absolutely no response to this prank call and just continued with the show without even batting an eye. Maybe that's because whoever Jack Strickland is has prank called C-SPAN before. If only the host of Washington Journal had responded with "Yo homes, smell ya later," the moment would have been truly perfect.
