Only one game brings intense levels of blood-induced violence, a storyline to follow through the years, and fatal moves that you can't get enough of. Even after so many years and incarnations, Mortal Kombat does not disappoint as a new "-ality" joins the ranks of its famed Fatalities monikers.
NetherRealm Studios announced a new move for Mortal Kombat X that is reserved for those annoying players who rage quit in the middle of online matches. This special finishing move is aptly named "Quitality" wherein the quitting player is punished by having his character's head explode awarding the opponent an instant win.
From now on, players will think twice when they try to drop out of a match.
"If you quit, your head blows up and the other guy, he kinda just sits in the glory of watching you die," says Derek Kirtzic of NetherRealm.
Kirtzic also said that they didn't want players who might quit in the middle of the game to be put in some other state but they wanted to glorify the winner and so "Quitality" was added to the already noteworthy repertoire of fatalities the Mortal Kombat series offers.
Ed Boon, Mortal Kombat X director, posted teasing Tweets building up for the reveal during the Kombat Kast on Twitch.tv.It's looking like tomorrow's Kombat Kast twitch stream is on! https://t.co/9rfaPyCvND But what's this I hear about yet ANOTHER new "-ality" ?!
