Jeep is preparing for its 49th Easter Jeep Safari, a nine-day event that will begin on March 28 and will end on April 5, with seven new concept vehicles. The design concepts are based on Jeep's Cherokee, Grand Cherokee, and new Renegade. Four of these concepts are also based on the Wrangler. Here are the seven new concept vehicles that Jeep will be showcasing at the event:

Jeep Staff Car. This vehicle is inspired by Jeep military service vehicles and has design features that display a number of military accents, both on the car's exterior and interior. Some of its notable features include a stretched canvas roof, 35-inch Firestone NCT military tires, 2-inch lift kit, bench seats, and Dana 44 axles.

Jeep Chief. This vehicle strikes an eye-catching aqua paint finish that makes it stand out against the rest of the pack. While the concept is based on the Jeep Wrangler, Jeep Chief is designed primarily as a tribute to the original and full-sized Jeep Cherokee.

Jeep Wrangler Africa. The Africa concept vehicle is designed for exploring the jungle, back country or just about wherever the driver would want to go. It features fuel tanks, roof for extra gear, power step rock rails, a high-clearance steel front bumper with winch, high-top roof, extended rear body and power dome vented hood. It also has fender-mounted auxiliary fuel cans and a 2.8 liter diesel engine with an automatic transmission.

Jeep Grand Cherokee Overlander. Perhaps the most striking feature of this vehicle is its pop-up tent found on its roof. The design, which is based on the new Cherokee, shows that the Overlander boasts a unique front-fascia, front winch, wheel flares, tow hooks and other notable off-road design features.

Jeep Renegade Desert Hawk. The Desert Hawk comes in a Dark Tan finish while featuring a roof rack and Mopar trailer hitch receiver. The interiors come fitted with Mopar all weather floor mats and Mopar Katzkin seat covers. Other features include a 2.4 liter Tigershark engine built with MultiAir 2 and a 9-speed automatic transmission.

Jeep Cherokee Canyon Trail. Similar to the Desert Hawk, the Canyon Trail also comes in a Dark Tan paint finish. It's also designed with a topographical bonnet decal, Jeep body decals, 2.4 liter engine and 9-speed automatic transmission.

Jeep Wrangler Red Rock Responder. The Red Rock Responder is designed as a support vehicle: it houses spare parts and tools that could come in handy when responding to emergencies. Coated in a Vibrance Responder Red exterior paint, the vehicle features built-in drawers and compartments for storage, 17-inch beadlock wheels, LED headlamps, foglamps, 37-inch BF Goodrich Mud Terrain tires, 3.6 liter engine and automatic transmission.

The 2015 Easter Jeep Safari will offer trail rides, most of which are said to be day-long trips. The departing point is in Moab, Utah.
