Sony is working to bring its PlayStation Now video game streaming service to market that is powered by Gaikai. According to a recently leaked image that was spotted on Gaikai's website, the cost of playing the available titles might not force consumers to rob a bank.

The service is basically a place where gamers would go to rent games and play them from the cloud instead of from the hardware itself. It is similar to OnLive in more ways than one, and with Sony and the PlayStation brand behind it, the possibility of success is quite high.

However, success depends on pricing, as we can see with the PlayStation 4 dominance over the Xbox On so far.

When it comes to PlayStation Now's pricing, what can we expect?

The leaked image gives the impression that PlayStation Now titles with streaming capabilities will likely have the PlayStation Now blue triangle next to them. Furthermore, it appears as if players can purchase a game outright rather than paying to stream the title from Gaikai's servers.

The prices so far according to the leaked image, ranges from $4.99 to $5.99. The image highlights both Uncharted 3: Drakes Deception, and Far Cry 3 costing $4.99 and $5.99 respectively. However, it is not certain how much playtime gamers would get if they chose to purchase, for example, Far Cry 3 for $5.99. Buying the game outright should allow for unlimited playtime when compared to the other option.

At the moment, the prices shown on the leaked image could be placeholders, which means things could change when the service is available to consumers in the coming months.

PlayStation Now will launch first in North America later this year; however, there is no word on when the service will make its debut in Europe. Our guess is 2015, since Sony claimed that European broadband speeds are not competent enough to take advantage of PlayStation Now in its current form.

What is PlayStation Now?

It's a service that will allow gamers to stream their favorite titles from almost any device. Gamers would be able to play their favorite games via smartphones, tablets, TVs, video game consoles, and other means.
