There are two kinds of people in this world: those who love April Fools' Day with a passion and those who just want to curl up into a fetal position and avoid the outside world altogether on that day. Which one are you?

There's really nothing wrong with playing a few pranks on April Fools' Day as long as you don't take it so far that you end up striking fear into the hearts of others and make them loathe the holiday for the rest of their lives. April Fools' Day can be a nice break from the rest of the year as the world takes a collective sigh of relief with slightly more levity for 24 hours.

However, if nothing gives you more pleasure than seeing what kinds of trickery you can get up to on April Fools' Day among the people you love, you might actually be a sociopath, according to John Oliver. And he sort of has a point.

As the late-night host seems to do with all of our beloved holidays and traditions, Oliver sucked all of the fun out of the April 1 holiday in a new web exclusive from his HBO show Last Week Tonight. He wants you to see that April Fools' Day isn't enjoyable at all, and if you are having fun on the holiday, you're probably a terrible person.

In fact, Oliver doesn't think there should be any pranking on April Fools' Day at all, so much so that he made his entire studio audience and anyone watching this clip raise their right hands and take the Last Week Tonight No-Prank Pledge for this April Fools' Day. That's right. April Fools' Day is serious business to Oliver, and he wants to rid the world of fake engagement photos on Facebook and celebrity death hoaxes one Last Week Tonight viewer at a time.

So if you also think there should be no pranking whatsoever on April Fools' Day, join Oliver's pledge by watching the video below. If enough people vow to end all pranking on April 1, we might just be able to focus on what this holiday is really all about: a big, scary reminder that you still have to do your taxes.
