Bloodborne is hard, but you probably already know that.

A PS4 exclusive and spiritual successor to From Software's notoriously difficult Dark Souls series, Bloodborne is every bit as challenging as its predecessors, in some ways even more so.

Not that the game's rage-inducing difficulty is stopping some gamers from doing what they do best — speed runs. Yes, players are already speed-running one of the most difficult games of the last decade, but they are all going to have a hard time beating this gamer's record time.

Via VG247, YouTuber Oginam_tv has managed to complete Bloodborne in 45 minutes.

Yes, you read that correctly. Bloodborne is a game that, when played normally, can take upwards of 50 long, painful, controller tossing hours to complete. A human being completed it in 45 minutes.

How is this seemingly superhuman feat possible? Skill plays a large part, of course, but Oginam_tv uses a number of glitches and exploits as well to help him accomplish his record time. He skips large portions of the game using certain glitches and can also be seen using the infamous item duplication glitch to get ahead. It may seem like cheating, but to many players, if it is in the game, it is fair-game to exploit to the fullest extent.

The only problem is those glitches and bugs might not be in the game for long. No doubt, From Software is working on an update to fix the exploits, and that will make life much more difficult for speed-runners looking to beat Oginam_tv's record time. You can watch his whole run below. Just be warned: as he finishes the entire game, there will be spoilers, if you are concerned about that sort of thing.

Nonetheless, it is an impressive feat that is likely to cause many Bloodborne players to hang their heads in shame. Struggling through the game's punishing bosses and monsters is a challenge, even for the most skilled of gamers. To have somebody finish the game in a mere 45 minutes is more than a little discouraging. But we must all fight on. There are enemies to slay and blood to be spilled.
