Warner Bros. has been remarkably savvy at holding onto plot details about Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice. Aside from the fact that Superman and Batman will fight one another – and then presumably team up against a common foe – we really know nothing about it.

So anytime the tiniest morsel of information is dropped, it's kind of a big deal. Today's nugget will be especially loved by fans of movie music.

It's already been confirmed that when Mad Max: Fury Road hits theaters on May 15, 2015, the very first teaser trailer for Batman v. Superman will be playing with it. The trailer will be attached to all prints of the film, so that it plays before the movie begins.

Today's news concerns the movie's score, composed by Hans Zimmer and Tom Holkenborg — a musician and engineer known by the stage name "Junkie XL." Zimmer composed the score for Man of Steel, and was brought on to score this sequel as well.

Having composed the iconic music for Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy, Zimmer felt it would be unwise to compete with himself by trying to create another Batman theme. So he asked his friend Holkenborg to handle the Batman theme while Zimmer stuck to the Superman parts — no doubt built on the music he wrote for Man of Steel.

Needless to say, fans have been curious and excited to hear what the pair have come up with for Supes and Bats. It's the first time the pair will share the big screen together — and these themes will likely carry over to the Justice League films. In other words, we're going to be hearing this music for years to come. Will it do justice to DC's top two superheroes?

We're going to find out sooner than expected.

Collider reports that when the first trailer arrives in May, it will feature music from the film's score. It's rare for trailers to use music from the movie they're advertising, since the music is typically the last part of a movie to be finished. For this reason, most trailers use stock tracks. But director Zack Snyder used the same tactic for with Zimmer's music for the Man of Steel's trailers back in 2012 and 2013 — so it's no surprise he'd choose to do it again.

Holkenborg first broke the news on Twitter.

Either by serendipity or intention, Holkenborg also composed the score for Mad Max: Fury Road, the movie the Batman v. Superman trailer is attached to.

Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice arrives in theaters on March 25, 2016.
