David Ayer has released the first full image of the Joker in the upcoming Suicide Squad movie. This take on the character is entirely different when compared to Christopher Nolan's take with Heath Ledger as the main man.

Heath Ledger's rendition in the Dark Knight trilogy deviated from the comics, but in many ways folks could look and say that this is somewhat the Joker they know. However, we doubt the same can be said for David Ayer's take with Jared Leto in the driving seat.

The director released the first full image of Jared Leto as the Joker in celebration of the character's 75th anniversary. The image highlights a Joker with several tattoos on his body, along with one on his forehead that says, "Damaged." He also seems to be missing a lot of teeth, hence the reason for metal teeth in his mouth.

We've long known that David Ayer's take on the Joker will have a more violent past when compared to other versions of the character on film.

Let's talk more about those teeth.

We know that Batman incorporates steel on the knuckles of his suit, so if rumors about one of the Robins dying by the hands of the Joker turns out to be true, then we might just have an idea how he lost so many of his teeth. It could all boil down to an angry Batman going to town on the Joker because from the design, the teeth were not pulled out, they were smashed and broken.

Everything right now is a mystery, but one thing we can be sure of, fans never expected such a huge departure from the comic book Joker. We've never seen this one before, and it is only because David Ayer is in the director's chair why we have chosen to give this Joker a shot.

Now, all is left is for Ayer to show us what the other cast members look like in costume. Since Harley Quinn has close ties to the Joker, we wouldn't be surprised if she has several tattoos on her body as well.

We doubt she did anything to get her teeth smashed in, so no metal teeth for her.
