So far, the first season of The Flash has gone about as well as anyone could have hoped. It's yet another example of the CW and DC doing characters justice, and both The Flash and Arrow have set a high bar for the rest of DC's upcoming TV and film projects.

One of the reasons The Flash has been so successful is that it's worked on the same arc throughout the entire first season. Sure, there are deviations here and there to keep things from feeling stale, but the vast majority of the first season has been dedicated to finding out who the Man in Yellow really is. With the season finale fast approaching, the CW has released one last trailer to give fans an idea of what they're in for:

If anything, it looks like fans are in for quite the finale. The teaser's not long by any stretch of the imagination, but there's a lot of info here: the Flash battling it out with Captain Cold, Gorilla Grodd, Reverse Flash and even hints at the finale of the Flashpoint storyline all make an appearance.

More importantly, it feels like the first season of The Flash is going to have a pretty satisfying conclusion. It's impossible to tell from the teaser alone, but so far, the first season has done of great job of keeping things concise and on-point. With any luck, it'll all pay off when the finale premieres. Not every episode is gold, but the story has stayed focused throughout the entire season (something other series should try to emulate). Yes, The Flash feels like a comic book, but is that really a bad thing?

The first of the final four episodes of The Flash's first season is set to air April 28 at 8pm EST on the CW.
