U.S.-based wireless network operator Sprint has partnered with Boingo Wireless Inc. to bring free Wi-Fi access customers' way at 35 major airports in the U.S.

On Thursday, April 30, Sprint and Boingo announced their collaboration which is a multiple-year deal. Thanks to the partnership, Sprint's customers will have access to several new Wi-Fi hotspots at prominent U.S. airports.

Thanks to Boingo's secure and seamless networks, Sprint subscribers will be able to access Wi-Fi as easily as they do with cellular data.

"With Wi-Fi being the world's largest wireless ecosystem, we view it as a highly complementary layer to our network," noted Stephen Bye, Sprint CTO. "By enabling customers to move seamlessly between secure Wi-Fi and cellular, our customers will have a better mobile experience in more locations, all while lowering their cost of data usage."

The best bit about the Boingo Wi-Fi hotspots at the 35 major U.S. airports will be that Sprint subscribers will not need to log in and can connect automatically to the Wi-Fi service for free. Moreover, business travelers need not worry either as they can use their corporate VPNs with ease without worrying about the security.

The free Wi-Fi hotspot availability at the major airports in U.S. starts from April 30.

The airports that will benefit from the Sprint and Boingo Wi-Fi hotspots include New York's JFK, Oakland International Airport, San Diego International Airport, Buffalo Niagara International Airport, Louisville International Airport, Memphis International Airport, Raleigh-Durham International Airport, John Wayne Airport, Sacramento International Airport, Newark Liberty International Airport, Nashville International Airport, Des Moines International Airport, Stewart International Airport, Chicago Midway, Chicago O'Hare International Airport, Dallas Love Field, Miami International Airport and Boston Logan International Airport, to name a few.
