It's sad to say, but fans have been waiting on a proper Fallout sequel for nearly seven years now. It sounds crazy, but Fallout 3 was released way back in 2008 - and, while Fallout: New Vegas wasn't a bad game by any means, it was a very similar game with very similar mechanics built on the exact same engine - few would call it a full-fledged sequel.

Fallout 4, the supposed sequel from Bethesda Studios, has been rumored to be in development for some time now...the only problem is that each and every single one of these rumors has been debunked.

Bethesda's been tight-lipped when it comes to official announcements, but when it comes to confirming that a new teaser or website is fake, the studio's on top of things.

However, Bethesda's planning their first big E3 press conference next month, and it's got people thinking that the studio has something big to unveil. Many fans believe that the latest game in the Fallout franchise is scheduled for a long-overdue reveal, and a new LinkedIn post is only adding fuel to the fire.

The LinkedIn profile (via Video Gamer) in question belongs to one Luis Nieves, who works for Guillermo del Toro's production company Miranda Studios. The page seems innocuous enough...until you read what Nieves was working on during his time at the production company.

While it's true that some job listings in reference to unreleased games have been exaggerated in the past, this 'Fallout 4 cinematic trailer' could be the real deal. If the trailer is set to debut at E3 next month, the timing makes sense, and if Bethesda really is revealing the game with a 20-minute demo (a rumor that surfaced last week), it'd be natural for the studio to open up with something bigger...say, a cinematic trailer.

Nieves' previous experience also adds credibility to the listing: if the Fallout 4 cinematic trailer is real, it certainly wouldn't be the man's first. Blur Studios is one of the most prevalent CG studios in the gaming industry, and the fact that Nieves worked for Blur goes a long way to making the story more believable.

So, is Fallout 4 on the way? Well, it's still a bit too early to say, but it's certainly starting to look like it. Stay tuned: Fallout 4 is likely headed for an E3 reveal this June.
