All eyes are on Ubisoft, as the video game juggernaut will be debuting its next Assassin's Creed game during a live reveal tomorrow at 12:00 noon Eastern.

But leaks have pointed to a Victorian London setting for the next game, which is expected to go by the moniker Assassin's Creed: Syndicate. (It was earlier identified under the working title Assassin's Creed: Victory, a nod to "Victorian.") After Assassin's Creed: Unity's release last year, Ubisoft came under fire from journalists and other developers for its lack of diversity in its top franchise.

Where were all the female Assassins?

A new rumor coming from Jason Shreier of Kotaku says that Ubisoft will rectify this issue with Syndicate by featuring dual protagonists: a brother and sister duo. This will mark the first (and only) playable female assassin since the 2012 mobile title Assassin's Creed: Liberation introduced us to Aveline de Grandpré.

Shreier believes the main characters of Syndicate are named Jacob and Evie, and their role in the game involves infiltration of London's criminal underworld. According to Shreier, Evie's playability will comprise approximately 25% of the game's story missions, with the remaining 75% going to her brother Jacob. However you can switch freely between the two while you're outside of story missions — aka, when exploring London, gathering collectibles and going on side missions.

One last thing. Like Unity, don't expect Assassin's Creed: Syndicate to offer any multiplayer modes.

We'll find out full details on Assassin's Creed: Syndicate tomorrow, so stay tuned. It's anticipated for an October or November 2015 release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
