Eighteen-year-old Adrianne Lewis from Twin Lake, Michigan has only a simple dream in mind — she just wants to be included in the Guinness Book of World Records.

She wants to be a part of the record books, so much so that she has sent in numerous applications only to be rejected three times.

You see, this young lady is the proud owner of a tongue that measures four inches long.

While she is yet to be officially judged, Lewis' tongue is just a bit longer than that of the current world record holder, Nick Stoeberi, who has a 3.97-inch tongue.

Lewis believes her extraordinarily long tongue might be a shared genetic trait in her family.

"I feel as though I may have inherited it but I think with time and me sticking out my tongue a lot as a kid could have stretched it," she said. "My mom, grandmother and my great grandfather all had very long tongues."

Wanting to share her very unique talents with the rest of the world, Lewis decided to launch her own channel on YouTube, and just her luck, she was finally noticed.

She has posted several videos featuring different tricks she can do with her tongue, including being able to touch her elbow, chin, nose and even her eye.

"People started viewing after I made my first video, and I already had 250 views the first day," Lewis said.

"I started making more videos and it was basically about my tongue — I have 814 subscribers on my channel now."

Despite gaining a large following on her channel, Lewis also receives negative comments from Internet trolls.

Lewis said she deletes most of the inappropriate messages from people because she wants to keep her channel clean. Some of the negative feedback she gets includes accusations that her tongue is not real and that her videos were edited.

Lewis' boyfriend, Tim Hegedus, also feels uncomfortable about the hurtful comments. While he accepts that there is not much he can do about the "weird" people on the Internet, he asked them to at least appreciate Lewis as a person as well.
